Photo: John Whelan IUNVA PIPE BAND VISIT SWEDEN The IUNVA pipe band led by Anthony Byrne, took part in a St. Patrick's Day Parade and other activities in Stockholm, Sweden. They were invited as guests of the Irish Ambassador to Sweden, Orla O'Hanrahan. Photo: Martin Rowe NEW STAINED GLASS FOR MCKEE BKS Sunday 24th March 2019, Fr Pat Mernagh blessed the new doors to the garrison church in McKee Bks after mass. In addition Engr and Tpt Corps Badges were unveiled and also blessed by Fr Pat - both these badges were made from stained glass, and are now on the front doors of the church. The stained glass panels were sponsored by 2nd/11th Fd Engr Association, Friends of 2nd Grn S&T, and the Tpt Club. Photo: Steve Rynn UNDOF ESSC TEAM The 58 Inf Gp ESSC Team conducted clearance and area search of UN OP52 in the AoS. Supported by a security element and cordon from the FRC Mech Coy, the ESSC Team cleared and approved a new route to UN OP52. Prior to this operation the post had been inaccessible from the Bravo side and is now ready for reoccupation by UN personnel. Congratulations to both on receiving their stripes. Students from 1 Bde Units, 3 Inf Bn, 12 Inf Bn, 1 Inf Bn, 1 Cav Sqn, 1 BAR. 1 CIS and Bde HQ attended the course and were instructed by PSS Sgt Des Macauley, 3 Inf Bn and Sgt Jim Sweeney, MPC.
