he DF are currently conducting an Information and
Knowledge Management project which will address the
access and management of digital information, knowledge and records across the entire Defence Forces.
The technology that will enable this improved information
and knowledge sharing will be based on Microsoft SharePoint.
This portal will be entitled DF IKON; DF Information and Knowledge Online.
A working group representing all stakeholders and end users has been meeting on a bi-monthly basis in DFHQ since mid
2012 to ensure the portal design meets the information needs
of end users. If personnel would like to submit a suggestion
for the design/functionality of the portal, please email barry.

IKON will begin a phased rollout DF-wide in 2013.

Mindful of the prevalence of addiction in society, the destructive
impact on relationships and family
members - the Personnel Support
Services, with qualified Addiction
counsellors - are available to any
serving member with concerns in
relation to addiction.
The Brigade Occupational Social
Workers and the BPSSOs
can be contacted for appointments in the brigade area or local
barracks.
