On our arrival home,
we touched base with
our chosen charity,
Samaritans Ireland, and
to their gratitude we
were able to present a
cheque with a total of
€4,760.00, which was
a more than deserved
token to say thank you
for firstly supporting
us from start to finish
in our event, but most
importantly for their
priceless work every
single day through their
24/7 service where they
offer a helping hand to
those who may need
it most in everyday
life. We would like to
take this opportunity
to thank Samaritans
Ireland for their endless
efforts in supporting
us through the fund-
ing campaign which
started in late Sep-
tember and concluded
on completion of the
event in mid-January.
We would also like to
note that with an initial
target of €3,000.00 set
on our funding page,
to donate more than
1.5x that amount is
something we are very
grateful for and gave a
great sense of achieve-
ment when present-
ing the full cheque to
Samaritans. Therefore,
we would like to offer
a massive thanks to all
those across our fami-
lies, friends and the
Irish Defence Forces for
their donations which
goes to this
great cause.
