NO 4 SUPPORT WING to Aircraft Inspector and also took the role of Calibration Inspector where I work with a Civilian employee to ensure the Tools and Equipment requirements in Pressure, Torque and Electrical are met. This position also gives me oversight of all the individual Tool stores located in the Air Corps where together with a great team effort by their staff, we maintain an up to date equipment inventory of all tools and equipment, to ensure that all tooling used on Air Corps Aircraft are fully Calibrated with documented traceability, which means it can be related to national or international stand- ards, via an unbroken chain of comparisons. Outside the scope of our capabilities, we also liaise with MSR where we send items for external calibration to companies which match the very high standards sought. These companies are regularly reviewed and audit- ed to ensure that those standards are main- tained.
