15 BE MORE WITH THE NAVAL SERVICE All trades spend many hours perfecting their craft. Technical Recruitment, Retention, and Regeneration Cell. Transforming potential. The new literature from the TRRRC fea- tures a tag-line which states that the Navy will, "transform your potential to: Lead A Team - Make An Impact - Be More." The central message is that they consider Óglaigh na hÉireann to be an organisation like no other. An organisa- tion they say which, "…needs capable and talented people so that we may best serve the nation in an ever-evolving world. We offer an opportunity to moti- vated, curious, and hard-working people with a will to succeed." With this positive message the Navy hopes to attract can- didates who have a sense of adventure, the confidence to collaborate, and who possess the instinct to be more. It is firmly believed that if you feel these attri- butes describe you, then you'll fit right in. The Navy considers that military service will help a successful candidate develop a suite of valuable skills, improve their leadership qualities, and gain profession- al qualifications and experience which shall be carried with the sailor for life. The range and variety of employment, and the unique experience provided by a career in the Defence Forces has few rivals. Working in the military provides a huge range of opportunities to those who join to build on their civilian experi- ence, conduct maintenance and repairs in a challenging and dynamic environ- ment, and truly experience a life less ordinary. Explore and Be More Any potential candidate who is interest- ed in exploring the opportunities on offer can email navy.recruitment@defence- forces.ie to find out more. If they wish to speak specifically about technical recruitment streams, just place that in the email and a member of the team will direct your enquiry to the TRRRC. Fur- ther information will be made available to technical specialist candidates for each of the specialist roles. The TRRRC shall be also available for personal con- sultation with the potential candidate, and they shall be conducting regular fact-finding tours and open days for can- didates on the Naval Base. Any teachers or other professionals engaged in career guidance can also contact NS recruit- ment to arrange for a visit from their gen- eral enlistment or technical recruitment teams. The TRRRC are also conducting recruitment duties through LinkedIn, and candidates are welcomed and encourage to directly engage with the team there via direct message. Tradespersons are required to keep the ships RHIB at the ready.
