T
he Infantry Platoon Attack Competition returned in September 2025 after a ten-year break, testing tactics, leadership,
and teamwork at the Platoon level. Held at Coolmoney Camp and the Glen of Imaal, seven Infantry Platoons competed
in demanding tactical exercises and weapons proficiency tests over two days. The 28th Infantry Battalion won overall,
with strong performances from all teams. The competition highlighted the strength of teamwork and the importance
of rigorous, realistic training in preparing Infantry soldiers for battle. The Defence Forces Women's Rugby Team proudly
represented Ireland at the Rugby World Cup, achieving memorable victories, like the win over Tonga, which brought them to
the semi-finals, ultimately finishing fourth in the world. The 46th An Cosantóir 10k road race was a great success with almost
1000 runners competing on the day, the highlight of the day was seeing Pte Kenneth Rodgers return to compete after a
short break and not only win the race but now holds the record of winning this prestigious race ten times. Included in this
edition is the Buy a Veteran A Coffee campaign, page 33 can be torn out, we encourage everyone to fill out the form and
return it to info@oneconnect.ie. We hope you enjoy this edition and look forward to our next edition to end the year.
