Two DFAM members were selected to be part of an interoperability team alongside colleagues from AGS and DFB. Over the course of the event, the teams tackled six demanding scenarios designed to really test both hands-on rescue skills and technical know-how. The competition wasn't just about performance under pressure. It was also a great chance to strengthen teamwork and communication across the different organisations. DF DIVE GROUP Since May, the DFDG has maintained a busy programme of diving and training activities. The group participated in two dive rallies organised by Dive Ireland: The Southeast Rally, hosted by Hook Dive Club, where members enjoyed excellent diving conditions off the Wexford coast, and the West Rally at Kilcummin Pier in Mayo, hosted by Gráinne Uaile Dive Club. More recently, the DFDG conducted its Advanced Dive Camp, operating out of Cork. The camp gave attendees the opportunity to further develop their skills while gaining experience in advanced dive planning, wreck diving and operating in strong tidal conditions. The DFDG has also continued to provide support to the wider DF community, most recently assisting 3 Inf Bn with a bridge jump in Blessington. These activities highlight the DFDG's continued commitment to developing and maintaining diving skills, supporting its members, and contributing to organised diving and water-based activities across the Defence Forces. DEFENCE FORCES HURLING There is plenty to look forward to on the Defence Forces hurling calendar over the coming weeks. On 29 October, the Inter-Brigade Hurling Competition Finals will take place alongside the Camogie Finals at Faithful Fields, Offaly, bringing together teams from across the Defence Forces for what promises to be a competitive day of action. The DF hurlers will then turn their attention to two upcoming fixtures, taking on AIB on 5 November at O'Loughlin Gaels, Kilkenny, before facing An Garda Síochána on 18 November, with the venue still to be confirmed. DEFENCE FORCES SOCCER September was another busy month for Defence Forces Soccer, with the annual DF Women's Network 5-a-side Football Competition providing plenty of quality football and strong competition throughout the day. 36 | SPORTS & CLUBS
