The works involve placing a pipe from the M7 motorway through the Curragh Plains into the camp. There will be 20 gas meter positions that will supply individual boilers throughout the west side of the camp. Over 50 boilers will have their burners converted from oil/LPG to natural gas. It is expected that the cost of fuel will significantly reduce in the coming years as a result of this conversion and that the current phase of installation will be completed by early 2014. The roll-out of natural gas to the east side of the camp will depend on the success of the current project. Defence Forces Newsletter It's YOUR newsletter!
