This occurred when 57 offi cers of the British Army's 3 Cava lry Brigade stationed at the Curragh Camp, indicated that they would resign their commissions if ordered to tak e military action again st Ulster Unionist resistance to the implementation of Home Rule for all Ireland. The Centre for Contem porary Irish History at Trinity College Dublin (TCD) wi ll host a seminar to ma rk this important historical ev ent on Friday 21st March , 2014, under the direction of Dr Eunan O'Halpin, TC D Professor of Contemporary Irish History. Speakers from Irish and UK universities have been invited. Timings: full-day progra mme from 09.30 - 17.00 , lunch is 13.00 - 14.00. Cost: €45 (includes lun ch in the Officer's Mes s).
