www.military.ie the defence forces magazine | 7 Blue light Boat race WinnerS The DF Rowing Assoc. were victorious in the Blue Light Boat Race by a 1/4 of a length over 1500m. The event took place in Whitegate, Cork on 9th June 2014 and was a challenge race which united all emergency services of the East Cork area. There were a total of eight crews participating including members of the Irish Coast Guard, An Garda Siochána and the Fire Service. The team was Lt Stephen Con- nolly (Air Corps), Lt Paul Giblin (1 Cn Cois), Lt Peter Williams (G7 1 Bde HQ) and Lt Fionn McCaffery (2 Cav Sqn).
