H
aving played a pivotal part in the Battle of Britain all
of seventy five years ago, it was fitting that the Im-
perial War Museum at Duxford should celebrate the
anniversary in a most appropriate way by hosting a two-day
air show on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th September. By
good fortune I was able to attend on the Saturday and it was
a memorable experience.
This photo shows only a part of the armada of Spitfires,
Seafires and Hurricanes that filled the skies over the
airfield for the finale of a wonderful air display.
