MORTAR M87
The Ruag 120mm mortar was intro-
duced into the Defence Forces in
2008. It was purchased to replace the
Brandt 120mm mortar, which entered
service in 1954. An 81mm barrel insert
can be used for training and live fi ring
purposes. The mortar can be broken
down and carried by the crew, which
gives it versatility when moving over
diffi cult terrain.
