The Bureau of Military History, which focuses on the revolutionary period of 1913-1921, was launched by Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, Jimmy Deenihan TD at Cathal Brugha Bks. The project was undertaken by Military Archives in collaboration with the National Archives, involves the digitisation of over 35,000 pages, 42 sets of photographs and 13 voice recordings. www.bureauofmilitaryhistory.ie
