I used the gloves on the Infantry phase of the Standard NCOs course. A course which not only tests you, but all your kit to the limit. The only downside was that it was difficult to do some manual tasks without taking them off, like writing notes such as an ammo/cas state. They'd be ideally suited for a soldier on the ground on sentry duties or in urban warfare like FIBUA/DIBUA, but not a posting with field admin to complete.
