he Directorate of Ordnance
won the "Excellence in Public
Procurement" category at the
2014 National Procurement Awards
in Dublin.
This category recognises inno-
vation in the supply of goods or
services. In winning the category,
the Directorate of Ordnance demon-
strated excellence in food procure-
ment, service delivery and in meet-
ing the nutritional requirements
of Irish soldiers in the national and
international arena.
The DF have been highlighted for
efficiency in delivering a wide choice
of nutritionally balanced meals at
a cost of €4.20 a day for breakfast,
