Photo by: Sgt Kevin Murray 1 BAR 8Th FIBua INSTRuCTOR COuRSE The 8th FIBUA Instructor Course took place in 1 BTC, Collins Bks, Cork in June 2015. The 28 students were put through their paces over the 3 weeks duration. The syllabus covered: introduction to urban operations, command and control, FIBUA techniques, combat support, combat service support, conducting battle exercises and tactical training and exercises. Photo by: Sgt Karl Byrne, PR Branch haPPy RETIREMENT CON Pictured recently is Brig Gen Philip Brennan (GOC 1 Bde) making a presentation to Mr Con Reardon at his retirement reception in the NCOs Mess Collins Bks, Cork. Con joined the civil service in 1969, he served in Dublin before being posted to Collins Bks, in the 1970s, where he served for 46-years with the Dept of Defence (DoD) and was the longest serving DoD member to date. All DoD and DF members wish Con and his family well on his retirement.
