Photo: John Whelan ROWINg ChaMPIONShIP On 13th September 2015, the DF Rowing Association Crew won the annual Blue Light Services Rowing Championship at Whitegate, Co Cork. The annual race over 1,500m is for crews representing 'Blue Light' emergency services. The crew won in 2014 and retained the championship by winning the race by 1/3 of a length, beating crews from An Garda Síochána, the Fire Brigade and the National Ambulance Service. The crew: Lt William Hurley (Tpt Gp DFTC), Lt Peter Williams (Tpt Gp, DFTC), Lt Fionn McCaffrey (2 Cav/EUBG) and Cdt Colm Dowling (Air Corps).
