On Parade was a tight squeeze this month, but keep your photos coming. In Focus features a nice letter from DF Veteran Liam Nolan on his Veterans Day experience in Cork, next Sgt Karl Byrne recently visited the IUNVA Post 27 Deceased Members Mass and Col James Fitzmaurice Remembrance in Portlaoise. Veteran's News features 3 short tales starting overseas with 25 Inf Gp in the Sinai, then it's down to Kilkenny for the formation of the 3 Inf Bn Association and finally to Drogheda for the 25th Anniversary of the tragic death of L/S Michael Quinn DSM. In our first feature we visit the ONE Annual Delegate Conference (ADC) in Sligo, to hear how they are Supporting Veterans with ONE Hand. We travelled west next to listen to PDFORRA's 24th ADC in Galway. Next we went to Berlin to the European Military Press Association's Conference and Awards, regrettably we didn't win an award, but the nomination to be among Europe's leading official military magazines will suffice – for now! Our centre spread features members of 50th Inf Gp undergoing their Mission Readiness Exercise in the Glen of Imaal recently, prior to their upcoming deployment to Lebanon. Strategic Review looks at Cyprus 1974: a Canadian Soldier's Perspective by veteran, author and former peacekeeper Frank Reid. Capt Martin Mulvey and members of RDF 2 Bde CIS feature In Reserve as Reservists Keep the Score at Brigade and All-Army shoots. In History, Derek Warfield and Liam Murphy look at Semper Fi! The US's Irish Brigade Marines from 1775. Our Sport pages are filled with this year's An Cosantóir 10K Road Race. Plus we have all our regular features and reviews.
